Subj: GEOS 2.0 For about the past 3 weeks I've been working on putting together the source code for GEOS 2.0. Well today, it appears as if I have completed the project. The source code assembled correctly without errors. It's current state is that of an exact duplicate of the GEOS 64 2.0 as we know it today. This gives me a foundation to work with now. While doing all this work, I have found quite a number of potential bugs in GEOS that will get fixed. I've also discovered many areas where the general programming can be improved either by shortening up the code or just making it more efficient. Overall, I must say that the original programmers did a pretty good job. This will develop into GEOS 3.0. GEOS 3.0 will have many features that are needed by today's standards. Support for the new CMD devices will be added. Ram expansion will be mandatory. The SuperCPU will be fully supported without any patching needed. It will work with or without the SuperCPU. Most likely, I will take the program that I started a long time ago, known as Dashboard ( a desktop replacement) and develop it to a finished product. This will be renamed to Desktop and will be the standard graphical interface to GEOS 3.0. -Maurice -------------------------- It sounds good to me. New life for our 8 bits for sure.
