The following types of compression/archival are used on this archive.
To uncompress/unarchive use the utilities listed for your platform.
They can be found in `/pub/util/<PLATFORM>'.

.gz: (Gnu Zip)
	compression utility; GNU replacement for unix compress. 

	our ftp server is able to handle gnu zip compression
	itself. you can catch an uncompressed version of a compressed
	file by getting the file sans .gz extension.

	unix: gzip
	amiga: gzip
	dos: gzip.exe

.Z: (Unix compress)
	compression utility from the unix world.

	our ftp server is able to handle unix compression
	itself. you can catch an uncompressed version of a compressed
	file by getting the file sans .Z extension.

	unix: gzip
	amiga: gzip

.tar: (Tape Archive)
	archival utility from the unix world; does not compress.

	unix: tar
	amiga: gtar
	dos: tar.exe

.zip: (PKZip)
	compressing archival utility from the MS-Dos world.
	
	unix: unzip
	dos: pkzip

.lha: (LHA)
	compressing archival utility from the Amiga world.

	unix: lha
	amiga: lha_e138.run (self-extracting archive) 

.hqx: (BinHex)
	Mac's uuencode; also needed to keep the two forks of a file.

	dos: binhex.exe
	mac: binhex4.0.bin
	     this is also handled by the `.sit' depacker.

.sit: (Stuffit)
	archival utility from the Mac world.

	dos: unsitins.exe (self-extracting archive)
	mac: StuffItExpander-307.sea (self-extracting archive)

.sea: (Self Extracting Archive)
	a `.sit' file, converted into a mac application.

	mac: just start it as application.


Some utilities for some platforms are still missing. We are trying to
correct that ASAP.

.sfx (c64 selfextracting archive):

	This is an archival format on the c64.
